This safety system is a collar used to prevent the actuator of the aircraft’s Nose Landing Gear (NLG) from closing in case of incorrect operation. This can prevent potentially serious damage to the actuator and other parts of the aircraft, as well as to the personnel themselves during maintenance phases.
